| Paint & Wine Event
Come join us on Thursday, June 12th at 2 pm for a fun painting craft! Claudeen from The Tillers will be here again this month and each resident will decorate their own 8”x8” canvas to hang on their wall or display in their apartment. We will also be having some refreshments while you paint and socialize with your neighbors. Please be sure to sign up at the desk so we know how many canvases we’ll need.
Cougars Game We will once again be attending a Kane County Cougars Game this year. We have reserved a party suite for Monday, July 14th for a Noon game. We will be leaving Plum Landing at 10:30 am. The suite is air conditioned in case it is hot that day and it is covered in case of rain. Willow Home Care has graciously offered to sponsor our outing, so the tickets will be free. However, space is limited, so please let us know if you are interested in attending as it will be first come, first serve. Chicago River Cruise Meeting We are considering a trip to Chicago to take the Chicago Architecture River Cruise on Wednesday, June 11th. We will be having a meeting on Tuesday, June 3rd at 1 pm in the Activity Room to gauge interest and discuss details. The cost would be approximately $45 per person and include your ticket and bottled water during the trip. We would then have a light lunch ($10-15) along the Chicago River Walk, and return home. We would leave Plum Landing around 9 am or so, and arrive back between 3-4 pm. We will discuss all the details and answer all your questions at the meeting. |
| Memorial Day Tribute
Mary Lou would like to thank all the residents and family members for the great turnout for the Memorial Day event last Saturday. There were over 60 people in attendance to honor all of our veterans! I would like to thank Mary Lou for putting it all together, and also the residents who helped out with the extra seating that was needed. Thanks also to Amanda for getting all the great photos together. We really do have quite an attractive group of residents. Most importantly – thanks to all the veterans for your service!! |
